How to find us
Directions
The KOKU is located at the Department of Developmental Psychology at the University of Hamburg, where you can find us on campus between "Grindelallee" and "Schlüterstrasse" (Map of the area: Building 63).
You can easily reach us by public transport or by car.
With public transport:
Take the bus #4 or #5 to the stop "Universität/Staatsbibliothek". The buses leave from the nearby railway stations "Dammtorbahnhof", "Stephansplatz", "Hoheluftbrücke", and "Schlump".
From the U-/S-Bahnhöfen "Dammtorbahnhof", "Stephansplatz" and "Hallerstraße" you can reach us in 5-15 minutes on foot.
From the bus stop "Universität / State Library" (2 minutes):
Walk along "Grindelallee" (heading north) and turn right into "Fröbelstraße". This leads to the campus area. Follow the road until you see on your left hand the entrance D.
As an aid to orientation, we have compiled a picture gallery (see on the right) with the footpath.
Take the elevator to the fourth floor. When you get off the elevator, you will find the rooms of the KOKU directly on your left hand. Here you will be welcomed by a member of the KOKU team!
By Car:
Drive into the Rotherbaum neighborhood (district Eimsbüttel). The campus of the University of Hamburg is situated between "Grindelallee" and "Schlüterstrasse". Enter as a navigation aid Schlüterstraße No. 12 ("MOHO's-Home of Barista"). Opposite is the entrance to the underground garage of the University of Hamburg, where you will be able to park free of charge during your visit to the KOKU. At the barrier, a member of the KOKU team will meet you to let you into the garage. From the parking garage, you can easily take the elevator (entrance D) to the KOKU on the fourth floor.
If you do not immediately find us, call us (040 42838 5410). We will give you directions or pick you up in case you are already on the university campus.
By taxi:
Take a taxi to Grindelallee 26-28, where the "Heinrich-Heine-bookstore" is located (footpath see above).
