Observation studies
In observation studies we are interested in recording the spontaneous, natural behavior of a child and their parent for about 5-10 minutes. Depending on the interaction, we might be looking at how the child plays with a peer in comparison to an adult, or which interactions are most prevalent at different ages.
This method is also especially useful for studies outside of the lab, when looking at cultural differences.
After the study, your child will receive a small gift as a thank you.
